On Beavers and Bureaucracy (2025)

Artist book — photography, printed documents, stencil duplication, scanned wood

An artist book beginning with a news story about beavers constructing overnight a dam that authorities had spent more than a decade planning. Inspired by the archival fiction of Andrea Camilleri's La scomparsa di Patò, I created a fictional bureaucratic dossier documenting the beavers' intervention. Photographs of gnawed trees from Oostduin Park (NL) progressively darken until the bureaucratic documents disappear, leaving only the material traces of the animals.

Cartographic Disillusions (2023-2018)

Art Installation

An ethnographic exploration of Valparaíso through maps, photographs and field notes, tracing how the city is experienced, remembered and imagined.

Spectatorpedia (2021)

Artist book, collage

An artistic research project exploring how audiences can be observed and imagined through ethnographic practice. Emerging from the absence of audiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project began with observations of a clown performing without spectators. These observations became a fictional encyclopedia of audience archetypes, materialised as a portable audience that can be recomposed and expanded through future encounters.
